The Lakota FFA group was invited by Preston Sundeen and Lake Region College to Land Judging Bootcamp. This was a great experience for all that attended! We learned about how to classify types of soil by wetting soil down, making a ball, and seeing if you could make a ribbon with it. We also learned how to determine Slope using a 3 foot method and a 5 foot method. We got to look at 2 different soil pits where we measured top soil, slope, and many other things. We then got to go back to the Kenner Conference room located at lake region state college and go through all our findings.
