Mrs. Ulland here. Today was a great day at the Elementary! Miss Hope from the Gateway to Science Center brought STEM stations for all to try hands-on activities. The stations were: send a postcard to space; sun bracelets; sound and waves; health measurements (temperature, pulse, oxygen, reflexes); microscopes and magnifiers; launch a rotocopter; magnets; astronaut training; and obstacle course. Thank you Miss Hope for bringing all of your interactive stations, and I want to give a special shout-out to my High School STEM class students for helping the kids at each station. It was a great day for students of all ages!

Kindergarten got the opportunity to listen to Pro Women Racer Cerissa Blessum this morning.  She talked about how she started racing at the age of 10 and is now getting opportunities to race in other countries such as Canada and Europe along with her regular circuits 286 Sno Series and Amsoil Nationals. Learning about the ups and downs of following our passion and goals.  Students were excited to see some of the medals she has won and the goodies she brought for them to keep.
