- The Barnes County Music Festival will take place on Monday, November 24th at Valley City State University. Students attending will leave Lakota at 7:15am.
- The fall sports banquet for varsity athletes in football, volleyball, and girls golf will be held this Sunday evening in the McVille Elementary School starting at 6pm.

Today sophomores and juniors attending the Reality Check event in Tolna where they learned how to budget with real life senarios. A HUGE thank you to Lisa Haines and all the volunteers for hosting this great event!

- Congratulations to Brody Rainsberry, Landon Sundeen, and Zane Anderson for being selected to the 9-man football region 2 all-region team! Congratulations to Rider Schmidt and Levi Steffan for receiving region 2 honorable-mention recognition! And congratulations to Brody Rainsberry for being selected to the 9-man football all-state second team!

Lakota’s Academic Challenge Teams—22 students across 4 teams—attended their first meet of the season at Central Valley, competing alongside 30 other teams from across the region.
Our Varsity 1 team—Olivia Fossen, Ethan Matejcek, Paige Carlson, Levi Steffan, Brody Rainsberry, and Landon Sundeen—finished strong in 8th place!
While our other teams didn’t place in the top 10, our students demonstrated dedication, knowledge, and sportsmanship throughout the meet.
Congratulations to all on a strong start to the season!
River Watch students from the High School visited Mrs. Wall's Third Grade Class today 11/19. They did an activity about the steps of the Water Cycle. Each step along the way, the students collected a different colored bead to make a beautiful bracelet. Thank you for having us, Third Grade!

The Anxious Generation Book Study:
NDSU Extension is offering a free book study to all area parents and caregivers! Participants will receive a free copy of The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt at the first session. We will meet for four weeks to discuss why what’s on the screen matters more than the minutes spent, how technology can lead to a rise in anxiety and depression, and how to connect with your kids at any age.
We will meet Mondays starting Nov. 17th, 7pm at the Nelson County Courthouse. Pre-registration is preferred, but walk-ins welcome! Register at bit.ly/LakAnxGen
