Monday, August 19
- Lunch today is Hamburger Hotdish.
- Breakfast tomorrow is Cereal and Muffins.
- We will begin Star 360 testing today starting with 11th graders period 1 in Room 206.
- School pictures will take place tomorrow. Stop in the office if you need a picture order form.
- There will be an FFA meeting tomorrow during lunch in Mr. Ryba's room.
- Today is the first day of Junior High, JV and Varsity Volleyball Practice. Junior High will practice in McVille from 4-6pm. Varsity and JV will practice in Lakota at the Community Center from 4-6pm.

Volleyball begins on August 19th. 7th and 8th grade players will practice in McVille from 4-6PM, 9-12 players will practice at the Lakota CC from 4-6 PM on Monday. Reminder there is no transportation for DP students on this first day. The rest of the schedule can be found on the school website under Activity Schedule. Thanks!

- Students: please make sure you have a copy of the 1st day of school schedule located outside the main office.

Back-to-school night will be at the Elementary School on Wednesday, August 14, starting at 5:00 pm. At 6:00 pm, please join us for a brief meeting on Title I in the cafeteria.

Lakota fall class registration for students in grades 7-12 will take place Mon., Aug. 5 through Wed., Aug. 7 from 9am-4pm. Registration will be in the main office. No appointment is necessary.
If you have a child enrolling in Preschool, Kindergarten, or is new to the district, please contact Lakota Elementary School.

Fall Sports meeting for parents and athletes will be held tonight 7/29 @ 7pm in the Lakota HS Gym.
Sports Physicals are available today 7/29 @ Lakota High School from 1-4:30pm. Cost is $30.
Grades 7-12 Chargers football camp will be held this week in Lakota starting Tues, 7/30 through Thurs, 8/1 from 9-11:30am. $25

The Nelson County Chargers Girls Golf will start their 2024 golf season August 5th at the Rock Creek Golf Course in Lakota, ND. Practice will start at 9am with Mr. Dustin Martin at the helm for his second season as coach. Girls need to find transportation for themselves until school starts up. Students must attend 4 practices with Mr. Martin to be eligible for their first golf meet. Remember to try to get your physicals done by the middle of July and give to the office of the school your student athlete attends.

- Today is the last of school! The schedule is posted around the school. Please help our custodians by picking up garbage, taking your personal belongings home, cleaning your lockers. Also please help out teachers by wiping down desks and chairs.

Announcement:
There is a drivers education sign-up sheet in the office for students wanting to take drivers ed this summer. The 30-hour classroom portion will be an online course with Mr. Jon Dondoneau, Elite Steering Driving School, Fargo ND. The online course MUST be successfully completed before students can sign up for the 6-hour behind-the-wheel session.
Behind-the-Wheel sessions will take place from July 29 to August 5. Mrs. Kathy Mita of Williston, ND will be instructing these sessions. Cost of drivers ed is $200 per student. Students will be issued 1/4 high school credit upon successful completion of the course.
