7th Grade Field Trip

Mrs. Ulland and the 7th grade class participated in a Field Day at Grahams Island State Park on Wednesday, October 4. The event was hosted by North Dakota Parks and Recreation Staff. At the event, they rotated through interactive stations while taking in the park's autumn beauty. 1) They learned about games played in Pioneer days, such as hoop-and-stick, sack races, marbles and jacks; 2) They pretended to be a molecule of water and modeled the water cycle; 3) They learned about wildlife and resource management; 4) They learned about the Fur trade and were taught common sign language used to overcome language barriers while bartering; 5) They learned all about ducks, different species common to ND, and their adaptations; and much more.

Thank you to ND Parks and Recreation for sharing your time and knowledge! Also for the t-shirts, swag bags, and pizza lunch!
