The 7th Grade US History class worked hard to re-write the Declaration of Independence, by breaking down the complicated terms and phrases. They ended class last week by printing and signing their very own copy, in cursive!

The Chemistry class just finished a lesson on ionic and metallic bonding. Today in lab, we examined the metallic properties of 7 samples of elements: Aluminum, Zinc, Sulfur, Magnesium, Copper, Silicon, and Carbon. We tested color, luster, conductivity, malleability, etc. We then related these properties to their position on the Periodic Table of Elements and how they would react when chemically bonding with other elements.

Order up! Life skills students are learning to cook. They researched their nutritional needs, made a meal plan based on their specific needs and then chose one of the meals to make for the class. There were some tried and true recipes like spaghetti, caesar salad, and chicken wraps and some new ones like chicken sandwich's with homemade BBQ sauce, garlic parmesan noodles, and a beef broccoli dish. Overall bellies were full and students were happy!
