The Anxious Generation Book Study:
NDSU Extension is offering a free book study to all area parents and caregivers! Participants will receive a free copy of The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt at the first session. We will meet for four weeks to discuss why what’s on the screen matters more than the minutes spent, how technology can lead to a rise in anxiety and depression, and how to connect with your kids at any age.
We will meet Mondays starting Nov. 17th, 7pm at the Nelson County Courthouse. Pre-registration is preferred, but walk-ins welcome! Register at bit.ly/LakAnxGen

Early School Dismissal Notice
Due to a downed city power line causing an extended power outage at Lakota Public Schools, classes will dismiss early today at 2:40 p.m.
Buses will run at 2:40 p.m. as well. No after school services or activities.

Yesterday, our freshman students had the opportunity to participate in the Alive at 25 program, thanks to the efforts of the North Dakota Safety Council and the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
It was a powerful and eye-opening experience that helped our students better understand the importance of safe driving and personal responsibility behind the wheel. We're proud of their engagement and grateful for programs like this that make a lasting impact.
A huge thank you to Farmers Union Insurance - Travis Rysavy for generously providing drinks and snacks to keep our students refreshed and focused throughout the day. Your support means so much!

NDES sixth grader Beau Marquart brought in his own 3D printer and gave a special presentation during tech class! The students were thrilled to see how it works and loved having one of their classmates as a guest presenter!
