The 7th Grade class is busy learning about taxonomic groups. Thus far in kingdom Eukarya, we have studied bacteria, fungi, and protists. We also have viruses/bacteriophages in this topic, though they are technically not assigned in a taxonomic domain as they are not classified as living organisms (did you know that??)
Here are the very detailed and beautiful drawings we've done in Mrs. Ulland's Life science class. Aren't they the most gorgeous pathogens you've ever seen?!? 😅 Next up...Fungi!

Lakota HS River Watch kids attended the Fall Kickoff in EGF today 9/24! We got our project assignments for the year and did some brainstorming. We did an activity that involved pouring samples from several subwatersheds (south to north since the Red River flows north) into a large jar that symbolized the Red River Basin. We ate a ton of pizza and then spent the afternoon canoeing on Red Lake River. Smiles all around!
