Our students in the business classes are hard at work making homecoming t-shirts! They are utilizing equipment given to us by NESC, desktop publishing students created the design and all of the business classes will be helping with production. We can't wait for you to see them!!

- Next week is Homecoming week! Monday is Pajama Day. There will be morning announcement trivia on Monday and there will also be contests to win prizes based on class participation in the dress up days!
- The Homecoming dance will be held next Friday in Lakota after the home football game until midnight. There will be a $5 admission charge. Any guest that is not a Lakota or Dakota Prairie student must be pre-approved. There is an out-of-town guest approval form in the main office.

The Lakota High School River Watch team had its first outing of the school year to collect data from our sampling sites on Thursday 8/29. Right now we are monitoring 3 different sites in Nelson County. We test for things such as: pH, turbidity, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, temperature, tape down to surface, along with observing any changes in level, vegetation, wildlife, erosion, weather and more. We compile our data into a project, and present it to judges at a forum in February. Kicking off a great year!!
