LHS River Watch students were back to visit Mrs. Wall and 3rd Graders today at NDES! The students learned about preventing water pollution and why we use water filtration. They then made a simple filtration system to clean up dirty water using rocks and sand. Thanks again! See you next visit 💦

This morning, Lakota High School proudly hosted its first-ever Academic Challenge Meet!

We welcomed 17 teams from 11 school districts, including:
Walhalla • Minot High • New Rockford/Sheyenne • Hatton • Langdon • Lakota • Larimore • Northwood • Dakota Prairie • Starkweather • Carrington

👏 Congratulations to Hatton’s V1 team on their win today! 👏

Lakota’s V1 team finished strong in 4th place—great job!

Lakota’s Academic Challenge Teams—22 students across 4 teams—attended their first meet of the season at Central Valley, competing alongside 30 other teams from across the region. Our Varsity 1 team—Olivia Fossen, Ethan Matejcek, Paige Carlson, Levi Steffan, Brody Rainsberry, and Landon Sundeen—finished strong in 8th place! While our other teams didn’t place in the top 10, our students demonstrated dedication, knowledge, and sportsmanship throughout the meet. Congratulations to all on a strong start to the season!

River Watch students from the High School visited Mrs. Wall's Third Grade Class today 11/19. They did an activity about the steps of the Water Cycle. Each step along the way, the students collected a different colored bead to make a beautiful bracelet. Thank you for having us, Third Grade!
