Last week the Lakota FFA chapter had the pleasure of competing in the district event at Mayville State College. This venue was truly accommodating and spacious for the event. The students competed in parliamentary procedure, creed, green hand quiz, and regular quiz. Everyone tried hard and did a great job! The 2 standouts for the Lakota FFA chapter were Taylor Joramo and Keira Matejcek. Taylor placed 5th overall out of 112 competitors in the green hand quiz category and received a gold. Keira received a silver in the creed competition. Thank you all for your support! -Lakota FFA

On Friday, students from Lakota Elementary and High School began collaborating on a special Christmas project. Each group received a Christmas-themed book, generously donated by First Community Credit Union, as well as a pallet tree provided by the Lakota Community Club. Additionally, project supplies were graciously contributed by Lakota Hardware Hank and Tronson Grain. We look forward to seeing the creative and festive final results of each group’s Christmas book-themed tree next week.
