Thursday, February 6th
- Lunch today is Pizza Burgers and Coleslaw.

- HS choir and junior high music will have study hall today during music hour.
- Congratulations to the JV academic challenge team on their 4th place finish and to the varsity 1 academic challenge team on their 5th place finish in yesterday's meet at Central Valley High School!
- 11th and 12th graders will be attending CTE day at Lake Region State College today. Students will leave this morning and be back for lunch and afternoon classes.

- The JV and Varsity boys basketball teams are scheduled to play today @ Pembina vs. North Border starting at 5pm. This game may be postponed, an update will be announced as soon as possible.
- Parent/Teacher conferences will be held next week Thursday, February 13th from 2:30-7:30pm in the high school gym.
- There is a sign up in the main office for any student in grades 7 through 12 interested in joining track this spring.

- Congratulations to Wesley Fisk on his dominant wrestling match last night vs. a West Fargo opponent. Wesley pinned his opponent for the win! Also congratulations to the Firebirds wrestling team in their dual win over West Fargo!
- The Academic Challenge team has a meet today at Central Valley school. Good Luck Academic Challenge!
- The Nelson County Mathcounts competition will be held today at the Nelson County Courthouse. Students on the Mathcounts team will be leaving at 9am on the White Bus. Good Luck Mathcounts Team!

The 7th graders in Mrs. Haugland's US History class held their mock Constitutional Convention last Friday and did a wonderful job! Each student played the role of a Founding Father and debated plans for representation, the 3/5ths compromise, and whether or not to add a Bill of Rights to the Constitution. Many even dressed up for the occasion!

Our River Watch students will be competing at the annual Forum in Grand Forks on February 26, 2025. Along with a poster and verbal presentation, a big part of their project was to draft a hypothetical plan to improve recreation areas in Nelson County. They had collected survey responses from residents to help formulate the plan, and are very grateful for all of the feedback. Here is a draft of their stewardship plan!
